At The Party Lab, we take pride in offering high-quality products and reliable services to help make your event memorable. If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase or booking, please review our refund policy below.

1. General Policy

We understand that plans can change and unforeseen issues may arise. We strive to be fair and transparent in handling cancellations, returns, and refunds. This policy complies with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and other relevant South African laws.

2. Event Services & Décor Rentals

2.1 Cancellations

  • More than 7 days before the event: You are eligible for a refund minus a 20% administration fee to cover time and planning already invested.

  • Within 7 days of the event: Unfortunately, no refund will be issued due to preparations and potential loss of booking opportunities.

2.2 Postponements

If you wish to postpone your event, we will do our best to accommodate a new date subject to availability. Fees already paid may be transferred to the new date at our discretion.

2.3 No-shows or Last-Minute Cancellations

Failure to communicate a cancellation or rescheduling will result in full forfeiture of any payment made.

3. Party Supplies & Products

3.1 Non-returnable Items

The following items are non-refundable and non-returnable unless they arrive damaged or defective:

  • Personalised or custom-made products

  • Consumables (e.g. balloons, food items, party favours)

  • Sale or clearance items

3.2 Faulty or Damaged Products

If you receive a product that is faulty or damaged, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery, including photos of the item. We will gladly:

  • Replace the item (subject to availability)

  • Offer a store credit

  • Issue a refund

All returns must be unused and in original packaging.

4. Refund Process

Approved refunds will be processed using the same method as the original payment, unless otherwise agreed. Please allow up to 7 working days for the refund to reflect, depending on your bank.

5. Rental Equipment

Clients are responsible for the safe use and return of all rental items. If items are returned damaged or missing:

  • A replacement or repair fee will be charged.

  • No refund will be issued for damaged goods.

  • Deposits (if applicable) may be withheld in full or in part.
