7 Easy & Fun Party Games Kids (and Adults!)
Planning a party and need some simple, fun games to keep everyone smiling? Whether you’re hosting a backyard bash or an indoor celebration, these classic party games bring loads of laughter without requiring tons of setup. Best of all β they work for kids and the young at heart!
1. πΆ Musical Chairs
What you need: Chairs + music
How to play: Set up one fewer chair than the number of players. Play music while everyone walks around the chairs. When the music stops β sit! The one left standing is out. Remove a chair and keep going until there’s one winner.
2. π¦ Pass-the-Parcel
What you need: A wrapped parcel with layers + music
How to play: Sit everyone in a circle. Start the music and pass the parcel around. When the music stops, the person holding the parcel removes a layer. The one who opens the final layer wins the prize inside!
3. π₯ Sack Race
What you need: Burlap sacks or pillowcases
How to play: Mark a start and finish line. Each racer hops to the finish line in their sack. First to cross wins!

What you need: Music
How to play: Everyone dances freely while music plays. When it stops, freeze in place! Anyone who moves is out. Keep playing until only one dancer remains.

How to play: Balance a lemon on a spoon and race to the finish line without dropping it. No hands!

What you need: Balloons + small slips of paper
How to play: Write silly dares or prizes on slips of paper and insert them into balloons before inflating. Everyone chooses a balloon, pops it, and does the challenge inside!
7. π― Pin the Tail (or Anything!)
What you need: Poster + blindfold + cutouts + tape
How to play: Blindfold the player, spin them gently, and have them try to pin the tail (or crown, eye, bowtie β anything!) in the right place on a poster.
